2007 Conference on Public Affairs in China

 

 

The conference organization committee gladly reports here that the Fourth CIPA Annual Conference was successfully held at Columbia Business School on November 10th, 2007.

 

The conference started at 10:30am and ended at 4:00pm, and attracted over 100 participants. The topics discussed included environmental challenges in China, and finance and foreign investment in China.  

 

Distinguished scholars from both the U.S. and China spoke at the conference, including Bernard Y. YEUNG (Professor in Global Business, Stern Business School, and Director of China House, New York University), Yixin LIAO (Professor and Law School Dean of Xiamen University), Winston MA (CFA, Esq., Author: Investing in China (London 2006); Associate Director of Barclays Capital in New York), Keyong DONG (Professor and Dean of School of Public Administration, Renmin University of China), Roger RAUFER (Director of Engineering Services, the International Environmental Trading Group), Ellen BRENNAN-GALVIN (Senior Research Scholar, Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies), Max ZHANG (Assistant Professor, Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Cornell University), and Victor Yue YUAN (Chairman of Horizon Research Group in Beijing).
