China Institute for Public Affairs (CIPA) (http://chinaipa.org) is dedicated to promoting independent and critical thinking on the ongoing transformation and future development of Chinese society. Any scholar specialized in any academic disciplines related to public affairs concerning China is welcome to get involved in CIPA in all ways.
CIPA Experts are by invitation only. Experts automatically become CIPA members and have all benefits available to CIPA members.
The Council of Fellows (“Council”) is the highest authority of CIPA. Only CIPA Fellows have voting rights to elect the board of directors.
CIPA Fellows are by invitation only. Only CIPA members are considered for CIPA Fellows.
Membership Guidelines
1. All members of China Institute for Public Affairs (“CIPA”) are encouraged to recruit new members.
2. The Council of Fellows of CIPA (“Council”) is the primary body for member recruitment.
3. Any candidate for membership shall support the mission of CIPA, agree to be bound by its Charter and By-laws and be willing to support and contribute to CIPA’s growth. Membership is not restricted to any professions or geographic areas.
4. To apply for the membership, any candidate shall fill the application form downloadable at www.chinaipa.org and submit it to the designated officer of CIPA.
5. The designated officer of CIPA shall make a decision on the application within reasonable period of time, in accordance with CIPA’s internal rules.
6. The members are not required but encouraged to participate in the management of CIPA, including but not limited to organizing events, fundraising, journal editing, web maintenance and other functions.
7. The membership is free for the time being.
