Joint CIPA – SWUFE Teaching Fellowships in 2007

In Summer 2007, CIPA (http://chinaipa.org) organized his third teaching trip, sponsored by the Joint Teaching Fellowships with Southwest University of Finance and Economics of China (SWUFE). Four overseas scholars—political scientist Yuen Yuen Ang, economists M. Peter van der Hoek and Roland Cheo Kim San, and policy scientist Haitao Yin—were awarded the joint fellowships. And they offered the following four courses respectively at SWUFE from June 2007 to July 2007: “Comparative Political Economy with Emphasis on China,” “Public Finance Issues,” “Comparative Economic Systems with Special References to East Asia, and Australia,” and “Public Economics.”  This teaching program has exemplified another success of CIPA's efforts in promoting academic cooperation between Chinese and Overseas scholars in public affairs. We want to give special thanks to those who have made this teaching program possible: Professor Bian Huimin, Professor Zhang Juyan, Shuping Wang, Feng Wang and Haitao Yin.

We look forward to providing more teaching programs like this in the future.
